Friends of the Inkerman

The original fenced playground has been there for over 30 years. Several years ago vandals set fire to some of the equipment which was subsequently removed. The matting has been a concern for many years and because of that the playground is currently locked. Chesterfield Borough Council are hopefully going to refurbish the playground in 2026.

The newer playground was installed after the Friends group was successful in getting funding. Some of the gridding around the equipment was replaced in 2025.
